Your flag is hand made to order which gives each flag a unique characteristic, and no two flags will be the exact same! Each piece of wood is weathered to give the flag a rustic look.
We start off by cutting each piece of wood to length and then paint them. The dates are then added to the blue union as well as the star and the letters “N” and “C”.
Inside the union are the two dates, May 20th, 1775 and April 12th, 1776. May 20th, 1775 represents the Mecklenburg Declaration of Independence. April 12th, 1776 was the date that commemorates the Halifax Resolves. This was the date of the first official statement by the American colony calling for an untied declaration of independence from British rule.
